Don't make me fricking laugh. The Vikings lost to the Panthers by double digits that year when a win would have served them well. The Saints lost to them (Panthers) too in the last regualr season game but they clearly weren't trying to win that game(especially in the 2nd half). Then the Vikings lost to the Bears on Monday Night Football and that game sealed the seeding in the playoffs that year.

All of this yet the Giants have two Superbowls as a 9-7, wildcard team. One beating Favre in GB then beating the 18-0 Pats then beating the 9ers (who beat you guys member that?) and then beating the Patriots.

All of those H2H games you mentioned mean next to nothing (other than seeding) come playoffs. The transitive property of football is a farce. Ask LSU fans how much their win over Bama in regular season helped them beat Bama in the title game...

they were 10-6 in 2007.

and they lost to the Pats by three points that year when New England was looking to stay perfect. In the last regular season game.

so why even bother with a college football comparison to back up that statement?

The records of teams argued (totality) weren't the same.

and then you want to throw in LSU-Alabama.

I'm not following you.
