With Watson behind Deichmann he has no choice but to pitch to Deichmann more now. Especially if there's already a guy on base, because you dont want to see Watson up there with 2 or even 3 guys on.

Watson has done it over a regional. Deichman has done it over a season. Pick your poison, but I'm not pitching to Deichman if there is a base open.

I believe this will change the put ons. Neither Watson or Smith are horrible with GIDP (plus Deichmann runs well, just makes some bad choices sometimes on pads) so there's little justification with protection.
