that little 3 stop spot they made in Texas...that area is LOADED with Sandhill Cranes!!!

when you drive through there at the right time of the year they have flocks by the thousands in the sky.

it says that they werent spotted with Sandhill Cranes but the fact that they spent 3 days in that area and then followed the Sandhill's flight pattern would suggest otherwise.

Sandhill crane is pretty much the same as a whooping crane except the color.

Same for the 2 stop area in the NW corner of TX and panhandle of OK. We did a seismic survey up there a few years ago and there were pronghorn, pheasant and sandhill cranes everywhere. Every pond was loaded with ducks and canada geese. But the huge flocks of sandhill's were what was so amazing. You can see for miles out there and there would just be clouds of cranes hitting the ag fields.
