I did that too.
My dog now likes people WAY more than other dogs, but at least he's not aggressive

I still bring him everywhere I can, like my neighborhood bar has a dog friendly patio and he comes and chills under the table while I drink beers with friends.

New Orleans was a great town to socialize a puppy. Mine does come to work with me. She just chills in the truck while I'm in the field. Though I'm starting nights tonight, so now she'll probably get to run around the site more often.
But I didn't realize how much more she loved humans then other dogs, until after a couple months without a dog park trip. She will introduce herself to almost every person there before playing with the other dogs.
