this is the glimmer of hope actually
The Torah is just about as violent as the Koran and yet you don't see almost daily terrorism by Jews.
Jews are proof that reformation is possible. The trouble is, with 1.5 billion to reform, I just don't think it's probable.

Does the Torah or New Testament call on its followers to eradicate those that don't believe?

People seem to not understand that the Bible speaks to Christians from the New Testament. The Old Testament speaks to and addresses the history of the Jews.
