Any input on golf courses to play in Destin area?

Indian Bayou and Regatta Bay are my two favorites, but there are a bunch within a half hour drive.

The Raven (My favorite)
Kelly Plantation
Regatta Bay
Baytowne

In no particular order:
Regatta
Raven
Burnt Pine ( probably the nicest being private but you can get on there on occasion if you plan ).
Also, rarely mentioned, but I think its a great little course is Santa Rose Golf and Beach Club off 30A.

I'll echo what others have said. Regatta Bay is top notch. Indian Bayou is a fun track. The raven is solid. Haven't played Kelley yet but plan on it next month while I'm there.

Camp Creek is worth the drive. Regatta, Kelly, Emerald Bay are all pretty good.
Factor in proximity to your condo/house. I hate sitting in all of that traffic when I just want to finish my round and then hit the beach or pool.

Kelly, Regatta, and The Raven are all great.
If your just looking to get away for a couple of hours and not spend $75+, Shalimar Pointe wasn't bad last week. We played it for less than $20. It's a funky layout, isn't in phenomenal shape, but good for the price.

Good to know. I've played shalomar before. It's old school country club vibe is cool. I can play it for $12 tomorrow
I've also played Bluewater Bay in years past, but it's fallen on hard times. They used to have 36 holes and a phenomenal dogfight that you could get into if you had a handicap established at a club at home and a pro could vouch for you. Last I had heard, they are down to 18 holes.

They did, if you stay at watercolor or have your pro call you can get on, not cheap though. I'll probably play Burnt Pine and Kelly Plantation next month, that's enough golf for me.

any word on when everyone punched down here?
Posted on 6/4/17 at 1:08 pm to CoachChappy
I just called Kelley, they are going to start punching the greens in an hour. The pro laughed when I asked about it. Glad I called. I thought that cheap tee time on golf now was too good to be true
ETA: Emarld Bay punched 3 weeks ago.
