Interesting. I'm not as obsessed about having him sign as most Bama fans are; I'd rather sign good defensive players.

I really dont get wound up about recruiting either but I know JJ and Lester. They both played for me in city league. I only know Fluker from games and thru my son. This year I have been trying to keep up with them. I have seen the AU people here talking to Fluker and another O lineman. I give it up to JJ though. We had USC, LSU, OU, Texas, Bama, etc.. in our stands watching him as a sophmore. We have another WR named Washington that is really good but I have heard nothing on where he is going. Our RB is great but has grade issues.

What I don't understand in this post is the reference to JJ and AU. Tell me if I am wrong, but I have never read one reference of Jones and AU mentioned together. Has he ever visited aubarn or attended a camp? I know Jones is very secretive about his recruiting but I have never heard anyone speculate that Jones is even considering auburn. What did I miss?

Tidehater is full of shite. Why would an Alabama coach get in an arguement with the #1 high school recruit a week before signing day. I tend to think at this point, recruiters are kissing as much arse as possible. You can make up all the shite you want, but come February 6th, JJ is ours.

It appears bogus to me. HS recruits are treated like King's during the whole recruiting process until they get on campus. Why would a recruiter (especially one that is well established and received awards for recruiting such as Lance Thompson) jeopardize that relationship with a recruit? Lance Thompson is the guy from Bama that recruits Foley and I find it hard to believe that he would get into an argument with a recruit.
