Doubt it is anything more than just a tropical low. I don't expect an especially organized system.

GFS at 7:00am CDT Saturday:

Goes away pretty quickly after this.

Any chance this could affect the LSU home opener in September?

Well, hurricane season starts tomorrow, so this system is now legal.

I am not a weather pro in the least bit, but I did see this on the weather channel app today. The last thing we need in these parts is more flooding.

Which way is that bitch moving. I'm supposed to be on one of those trashy floating greyhound buses headed to Cozumel starting tomorrow.

GFS Ensembles 12z indicates 1004 -1006 mb weak low psble in south central gulf by 120 hours (Monday 7 a.m. CDT ).

Upper level winds at 500 millibars ahead of approaching trough over central Texas will likely push any low and moisture axis toward big bend Florida panhandle in advance of cold front late Tuesday.

Also, current wind shear profiles are not conducive for development as moisture and heat will not be able to consolidate under a central mass.
