Because he is a giant douche that has made his living off constantly stirring the pot, keeping his listening audience (read saps) in a perpetual state of hatred, shifting his principals like the wind when the criticisms he has previously made against opponents can be leveled against his political team mates. He's a crappier version of a crap product, i.e. Rush Limbaugh.

He and his ilk, on both sides of the political spectrum, are what's wrong with the political situation in the US.

I think that's why he's being harassed, but that's just my opinion.
