When someone says expat I don't normally correlate that to they took a job as the primary provider temporarily in a foreign country. Expat to me is more like someone that chose to retire in a foreign country. I know its just semantics, but none the less I don't call military guys stationed in say Japan "expats". Now if you say married a Saudi and took a job there specifically to be with her, that would be an expat.
Point being, that's a weird way to phrase it.
Title should be like "Should I take a job in Saudi?"
Big difference from, "should I retire in Saudi?"

I'm not military but you're not far off. Basically I don't want to get my arse shipped off to Arabia and never see my son again.

The term expat being used to describe taking a job away from your home country is extremely common in the business world. Not sure there's anything weird about using it in that context.
