Proof that having CCTV everywhere and your entire population being under constant surveillance still can't protect against these kinds of attacks when incompetent people are in charge.

But constant surveillance isn't there to protect you in the first place.

Its my opinion these dangerous or potentially dangerous people are allowed in un-checked so that when they do blow shite up, or shoot up a gay night club, etc. the central power can justify further removal of freedoms from its citizens. Obama was trying his damnedest as well. Truly a disgrace.

You are mistaken. UK security services foil attacks all the time. And when they fail to prevent an attack they know exactly who to arrest and which homes to raid based on the communication network of the perpetrator. Individual privacy is dying a slow death, like it or not, as long as Islamists living among us keep trying to kill us and our kids. That's because the alternative would give these sh1theads free reign.

I usually vote Libertarian and understand where you are coming from. But the government is free to read my online posts and track my movements if such access allows them to prevent even a small fraction of these atrocities.

Terrorism (narrowly defined) is fundamentally different to other crime and requires more tools to prevent at the expense of individual privacy.
