You cherry-picked some of the ugliest houses in what are probably really large sub-divisions in Edmond. You won't find architecture that ugly in Crown Heights, Nichols Hills, Midtown, etc.

Where are you at?

I do like the idea of an Acadian style house in OK, but I think you'll need some space to do it, and it may look odd if you're slapping it right in the middle of a mega sub-division with cookie cutter homes.

The top one is very roughly "Acadian style." The bottom one is not at all. It's the dumb riff on "French Provincial", which seems to be sort of a rage these days, but has no connection to anything "Acadian" nor anything historically built in Louisiana really.
