quote:
Only 2 of those committed a crime and they both got jail time and neither was elected after being charged. In the case of Weiner he didn't even commit a crime until his political career was over.
You do know that it was Weiner's third time, right?
You really need to look up Weiner if you think it happened after his political career was over.
He admitted that it had been going on since 2008. (I would guess much longer) And, lets not forget AFTER that time he announced he was running for mayor of New York
in which he was a heavy favorite to win with widespread Democratic support.
On July 23, 2013, following the second set of sexting allegations that Weiner (using the alias "Carlos Danger") had continued to send explicitly photographs after his resignation from Congress, he acknowledged that he had sent messages to at least three women in 2012. One recipient stated that Weiner described himself to her as “an argumentative, perpetually horny middle-aged man”.[
So, lets not paint Weiner as only doing his deeds after he left office. He left office (Congress) the first time because of the first sexting scandal.
I was merely pointing out the lack of morals on the left, since you guys were weeping over a Republican being elected.
Lets not forget these politicians that were elected after being convicted of crimes:
1. Ted Kennedy
2. William Jefferson
3. Charles Diggs
4. James Michael Curley
5. Marion Barry
We can go on, if you'd like. So, maybe you guys should weep for your own criminals before worrying about others.
