History tells us that we're looking to get a good year or 2 tops out of him. The upside is tremendous and the cost was relatively low, so not much risk.
Marcus Allen was in an odd situation because his feud with Al Davis cost him carries and playing time in Oakland. Really weird. But it also kept miles off him and likely contributed to his success in his KC era. Not sure if anyone else on the list is like him in that regard.

My expectation is in accordance with his pay. They wisely made it heavily incentive laden. To earn his base pay I dunno if he even has to produce as much as Hightower. The downside risk is very low and the upside through the roof.
