I had lunch with a liberal friend from NYC on Monday. We've been friends for a long time. She asked me about it, and I explained it like any resident of Nola. This wasn't about monuments. This was about Mitch making a name for himself nationally, while murders are up, our nopd is depleted, streets suck, etc.....

She agreed.

She said our streets are terrible and filthy. Where does your tax dollars go? I didn't have a response.
