I've said as much myself. Still, you have a 100 percent chance to miss if you don't get the bat off of your shoulders. And, yes, I don't consider passing the ball off to the wide open option being "more clutch" There is a reason why the player is wide open...

What would you prefer if your'e down 2, a guy who everyone knows is going to shoot the ball so he gets double or triple teamed and takes a turn around 19 footer that has about a 25% chance to go in(Kobe's clutch %) or a guy who is going to pass out of the double/triple team to another guy for a wide open shot that is certainly a better than 25% chance to go in? Those are the things you aren't knowledgeable enough to understand on this subject.

A guy who everyone knows is going to take the shot and he does take the shot and makes it at an inefficient rate is not a killer, he's an inefficient player.
