re: OB educate me on the duramax

I have 2 sets of heads in my garage that have been on full race motors without any issues...

The LLY's that some are prone to overheating in Arizona dessert type climates seem to be the only link...correct the cooling stack(yes that is an admission GM should have done better) or change to the LBZ intake horn/mouthpiece...how many are going to admit they may have overheated their trucks bringing about the issue?

as far as finding heads? How many trucks are still on the road? how many have reached their useful life? are there really that many LLY's in the recyclers stripped of their heads already?

Honestly, I don't believe there are that many that have been retired...

also take into consideration that most duramax forum people are there to "Mod" their trucks...If you take into consideration the hundreds of thousands sold that weren't "beat on" we wouldn't even be having this conversation on the use of "Prone"
