Well I'm pretty convinced to stay away from diesels. I never saw the need for one but looked at them from a resale standpoint.
I guess I'll focus all my attention toward the 6.0s of the world. Are the 6.2L f250s worth a damn? I know the f250 5.4s are not. I've driven one and was very underwhelmed.
I really appreciate all the input. All I've read was not as good as the feedback here.

The Ford 6.2 gassers are very good, especially with the 4.30 gears. You gotta realize what you're getting though. It's a big heavy arse truck with low gears and a big, tuned down engine. It's going to drink the hell out of fuel and you'll have to put your foot in it to get 15k pounds moving, but it'll do it and it'll last a real long time doing it.
