The New Dolby Cinema at AMC

Saw Alien in the new Dolby Cinema at AMC on O'Neal this weekend. The leather reclining seats? Awesome. The whole surround sound setup? Awesome. The screen size and picture quality? Legit
But then they somehow frick it all up with this ambient red lighting along the entryways and staircases which causes big red spots on the bottom left and rights part of the screen. It's not really noticeable in bright, outdoor type scenes but in any dark or remotely dark scenes there's just this red light on the screen. And I'm not talking like a 2-3 foot section. I mean like the whole bottom half on the left and right corners are red.
Anyone know why the hell they would put all this money into these renovations and end up with something like this?

I enjoyed the shite out of Logan, Guardians 2 and Alien in the AMC Dolby theater.

The huge red spots on the screen didn't bother you?
It didn't ruin the movie for me, although it was annoying at times, i just find it very odd that this would be allowed in a "premium" format

You should go on their website and provide feedback if it was really that bad. If no one ever says anything, then the problem will never be fixed.

I did a google search on it an it's definitely at other theaters across the country as well so there's no way they don't know about it

I didn't notice it tbh
It would be damn near impossible to not notice it

I have watched several movies in the Dolby theater and haven't noticed any red spots.
The theater is awesome.
The theater is awesome.

After reading a thread on AVS forum it sounds like the overhead red lights that are on before the movie/previews are supposed to be turned off when the movie starts. Apparently a good number of theaters forget to turn them off or there's some other reason why they would be left on
