I live in Colorado and follow the Denver Nuggets. George Karl led the Nuggets to 10 great regular seasons and 10 straight playoff births. However, he only got past round one once and the fans were fed up with his lack of playoff success so they ran him out town. Since they fired him they have been awful and have not made the playoffs since. You have to be careful with what you ask for, things don't always get better.
You're on a battlefield and your gun you've had since you started combat and got a few kills with runs out of ammo. You don't have reserves, and you come across another gun on the ground that looks like it's loaded already. You drop your previous weapon, pick this one up, and try to engage in combat again. Only this gun's ammo is depleted as well come to find out, and you get shot trying to engage in combat because you have a gun with no ammo.
Now, was the decision to pursue the 2nd gun a bad decision because you got shot with the 2nd gun and got kills with the first gun?
And let me say, I'm a big CPM fan and have never once called for his resignation or firing (check my history, it's not long) because he's one of the best in the biz. I'm simply saying that line of thinking isn't healthy. Just because the replacement didn't work out doesn't mean getting rid of the previous one was a wrong decision.

I wish I had four hands...so I could give you 4 thumbs up!
I'm not calling for PM to be fired at all, but the logic of keeping a good Coach for fear of not hiring a better Coach says, I'm AFRAID to take the risks that are required TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS!
