when the cap goes up like it has, you have to give bad contracts out.
NFL players were crying about the horrible, huge deals, 7th men,8th men were getting, because teams had to get to the cap floor.

With a salary cap, salary floor and a shortage of elite players, the next tier of players are going to end up getting paid more than they're worth. Teams still have to spend that money.
Really it's that above-average players that make out like bandits in the NBA.
