Suppose I missed this, if it was discussed before, but did Coach Brown make any public statement about this? I would hope and think he would now be supportive of Wade.

I did read somewhere that they have met each other but Im not sure on a public statement. After the last couple hiring's Alleva had zero responsibility to the alumni in the hiring process.

I think Wade is really utilizing the history of the program though so I would think Daddy Dale would have to appreciate the strategic use of our storied past when pitching to recruits.

Yes, with the firing of JJ the Dale Brown book is closed forever.

greatest bb coach in history who still lives in town.

of course we want him to not just support Wade, but be enthusiastic about him. it's just good for LSU BB.

No, it's not critical.

although dale is down over JJ, I am confident he'll be on board. Wade has to remind Dale of himself in a lot of ways.

Brown is out of the picture at this stage. It really doesn't matter.

Why start a post that will bring out the young punks who will disrespect the greatest coach that LSU basketball has ever had? He is a scholar and a gentleman and bleeds purple and gold. He mad LSU basketball. Leave him alone.

Easy one...Dale is a great LSU Ambassador. That means that he will Publicly support and be in favor of Wade.

As different as their personalities are, there are quite a few similarities. I bet they will get along personally.

I kind of wish Dale Brown would go away already, unless he's back to boozin and cruisin, and using the "do you know who i am?" method of DUI defense. I actually like that Dale Brown better, Tigers were much better back then.

Dale was so disconnected from coaching basketball going back to his final years at LSU.

I don't think he really gives a damn and with the one and done game he probably hates the NCAA even more.

Dale was the greatest basketball coach in LSU history. He took a program that was in shambles and created energy and enthusiasm. He took us to two Final 4's. He put LSU basketball on the map and he was able to pack the PMAC almost every game at his peak. Sure, he tanked near the end but give the man some credit and respect. I think his endorsement of Wade adds further excitement. I think Wade has Dale Brown potential. It would be nice to give a damn about LSU basketball again.

Dale Brown and the team was struggling with unfounded punishment by the NCAA. Scholarship limits and post season denial left him burdened in recruiting. He couldn't get the best players while serving one of the harshest punishment ever dished out and it was all based on a lie. It probably did break his spirit. His career was ruined by a lie.
