While Hess has been more impressive and consistent, he has more value in the bullpen right now. However, if he's available come a fourth game in need of a starter, he likely gets the nod over Peterson.
I was very impressed with Peterson last night compared to some of his previous appearances. Maybe he's just better suited to start games rather than come in as relief.
As far as Bain is concerned, I really hope he figures it out down the stretch. He has really good stuff, but he has walked way too many people this season.

that says it all. northwestern is a poor hitting team and we didn't want to burn our pitchers. that is the only reason Peterson started last night. he has control issues and he had some last night but they were not super patient at the plate.
