He basically confirmed all of the confirmable facts from the WaPo story.
He's just characterizing the significance of the content differently (without disputing the content), which is obviously going to be subjective.

I listened to it while driving. Only difference is I listened to what he actually said instead of trying to discern unspoken meanings between his words. Had you not wasted your time trying to glean unspoken meanings, you'd have heard him flat out say the story was completely false.
All the other crap is just mental masturbation. Once he said the story was false, that should settle it unless you want to claim the man is a liar. And if you're making that claim, I'd like to see the proof.
