LSU has an extremely tough regional. ULL is scary good and Mcneese is no slouch. Kentucky has a walk in the park regional

If those schools hosted, who would you take host sites away from?..... serious question there only 16 slots I'm wondering your opinion

Actually, I think if you look at the RPI, it's perfectly reasonable to see why ULL is in our regional and why they are not hosting.

Also, the committee certainly gave a lot of credibility to strength of schedule and rewarded teams that played in tougher conferences, which, is what they should do. And this explains why Ole Miss is hosting (after winning the SEC tourney) and Minnesota is not hosting (due to a poor SOS and a borderline RPI)

IMO, everything looks correct and I think they did it right.

The only question I have is about James Madison. Their RPI is borderline for them to host for a lower RPI conference. So with them being borderline, you have to wonder if another borderline team in a stronger conference with better facilities got the nod.

It all makes sense to me. Furthermore, they did a great job of balancing out the conference teams and keeping them from having to all play each other like in years past. Theoretically, you could, with this bracket, have 8 teams from the SEC at the CWS... unlike years past.
