I support about 90% of what I posted. I despise political correctness, however. I grew up in an era where you did not have the right to not be offended and this country was much better for it. The American people have lost their sense of humor and sense of reality. I admire brutal honesty. And I also admire people who can sit across the table and actively listen to and respect the other's point of view. I understand that people on both sides of the political spectrum approach life through a totally different worldview but if people on both sides would realize that we are all human fundamentally and bleed red, it would make them more compassionate and tolerant of the other's POV. It would be naive to expect people to agree on everything but as long as we the people keep looking at everything through an US and Them lens, nothing will change for the better. Divide and conquer has been the modus operandi of those in power for millennia. I think that is changing now with unfettered access to information that is available to both sides. The problem is people seeing those who disagree with them as the enemy. That is just what the money and power whores at the top of the food chain want. For that reason, I relish seeing the entire system crash and burn across all sectors. I think it will take that kind of reset for people to wake from their slumber and start creating real solutions to real problems.
