A half white/half black kid would certainly have been listed as black most anywhere in this country in the early 1960s.

Look - I have no doubt whatsoever that Obama was born in Hawaii because there is not a single piece of evidence that points to any other conclusion. I'd have to believe a massively complex and prescient conspiracy to think otherwise.

But I do have doubts that the birth certificate Obama finally released contains some defects that can best be explained by deliberate forgery. For what reason, I have no idea. Perhaps the real parent? Perhaps some oblique reference to Islam? Perhaps the original birth certificate didn't really exist to begin with? But even if there was some trivial forgery, it doesn't effect his eligibility status as qualified to run for POTUS. Obama was unqualified for many other reasons, but none of them are constitutional - they were pragmatic/political.

Are you 100% convinced that the image of the birth certificate produced was an absolutely true representation of the original???

I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't an exact replication, but I don't have any reason to believe there was anything intentionally misleading on it. And I guess I'm as convinced of its substantive authenticity as I am of anything else I can't independently verify. That wasn't really the point of my post, though. I can't believe someone SavageOrange's age could make the argument that a half-black baby would have been listed as or considered white anywhere in this country in 1961. I have to imagine he knows better than that. There are blacks who look one hell of a lot whiter than Obama who were never considered white (look at some black members of families in Louisiana like the Honores and Darensbourgs or someone like Harold Ford).
