The bar can encourage whatever they want. Do you think defending a case is just showing up for trial? You need to spend money on investigators, sometimes expert witnesses, etc. Not to mention criminal defendants are notorious for filing bar complaints. So essentially ask them to lose money because the state of Louisiana will not comply with the Constitution??
