I lived on a 33' foot Ranger for some time back when I was young and single. I loved everything about it to be frank. I did not have a lot of space but really did not need much. I installed a water heater, A/C, small fridge and microwave and pulled out the old alcohol stove. One of the great things about being a live-aboard is that you can keep the boat in top condition because you are always there. It is also VERY inexpensive as electric ran around $30 a month and I think my slip fee was $130.
The biggest pro is that you will NEVER get turned down by a woman when you ask her to go for a booze cruz. It's how I married way up.
