I have been looking at them in Texas. I can get a decent one for around 45-50k. With all the time I will be spending on the rig renting a 1500$ apartment or house just seems stupid for 1 week out of the month. With this route it would feel more like a vacation when off. Looking at lake travis or conroe

Used to stay on my boat at the marina from time to time. Its peaceful but the only problem is bugs. Boats tend to attract bugs that like dark damp places. I would always find cockroaches and spiders on my boat and it would stress me out while I slept.
