In addition, Tim Allen is probably the only one on that show that has an inked long term contract. Younger actors aren't granted that unless they become an integral part to the show. So they get paid, either per episode or per season. Tim Allen is a big enough name that he earns contractual pay on sitcoms.

Yeah, I used the wrong word. He didn't get fired. Did that really change anything about the conversation? Was that really a big deal?
