I didn't support Bernie's vision because he wanted to do it on the federal level, which I see as beyond Congress's enumerated powers as vested in Congress by Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. If states wish to pay for free college for their citizens, I have no qualms with that as long as it is done in a responsible, reasonably efficient manner.
