Here is what we know happened.
Russian agents or hackers with ties to Russia, hacked the DNC and elements of the Clinton campaign and released the meals. Unfortunately for the DNC it showed them doing everything possible to fix the nomination for Hillary over Bernie.
So that being said, the Democrats must be hoping for 1 of the following.
1.) Trump campaign secretly asked the Kremlin to hack the emails
2.) Trump campaign didn't ask the Kremlin but had enough contacts around the Kremlin to know what was in the emails and when they would be dropped so they could position themselves for maximum political gain.
That's about all I can surmise.

This has not been proven. Your choice is to believe politically motivated CIA and insider types who are allied with Obama and Soros and the military industrial complex or to believe Wikileaks and Julian Assange, who literally abhors everything that Trump stands for (except striking a blow agains the NWO).
I would trust Assange 100 out of 100 times in this scenario.

The emails were quite obviously leaked by a DNC operative and phished out of Podesta's email AND retrieved from Weiner's laptop. There is no conspiracy.
