Just a little more about a dental appliance. The effect of the jaw being brought both forward and open is dragging ALL of those soft tissues that you are talking about out of both the NASAL and oral pathways of breathing. Most oral appliances are fixed, without opening, reinforcing a lip seal, to encourage nasal breathing. But there are also other options that allow complete opening as well if that is more comfortable.

So I have severe osa.... will a dental work for me?
