I (left wing poster) can only speak for myself, but I'll pop in every once in a while to see what's up. I discovered this board years ago due to LSU fandom, but stayed for the political talk. I feel like I lose a few brain cells reading through the poliboard so I can't stay too long; but at the same time I like to see y'alls point of view.

This is how I feel. Although that thread where NT74 and DisplacedBuckeye melted down and got completely destroyed in 20+ pages was great entertainment.

I'm in a similar boat. Went to LSU, love the team, still read those boards when I can. I just stumbled across this board one day and was curious. Heard some outrageously stupid shite, had a couple laughs, kept coming back.

I only come here time to time because its one of many forums I try and keep up with. Frankly, I don't have that much time. I strongly believe its important to know what everyone is saying and to get the spectrum of opinions before making your own. I think the biggest problem w modern politics is most people only listen to one hard left or right source, which dramatically distorts their impression of reality and they isolate themselves.

That all said, every now and then you'll get some real intelligent conservative nuggets of wisdom. Those have value and I can admit to learning a thing or two from a few of the smarter posters around here.

You don't have any functioning ones you can spare.

You do have at least a few right?
