My wife was audibly agonizing for a food two hours during the labor of our first child. And she's a tough lady (was in labor all day for our second son and barely made it to the hospital for the delivery).

They came in at about 3 am to give her the epidural asked me to leave the room. I walk out to her in tears and come back 15 minutes later to her totally relaxed and smiling. It was awesome.
