Two women who were driving with Crawford told police he shot himself after he began talking about how distraught he was over "personal matters," the Post-Dispatch reports


Crawford’s father, 52, told the paper he last saw his son two days ago and he was in good spirits. He said he believed the shooting was accidental. “I don’t believe it was a suicide,” he said.
An official cause of death is pending an autopsy.
