Chris Reid got beat out by s superior athlete, but dismissing what he did last year in SEC is not looking at facts.
With LSU hurting at third, he provided a solid, steady glove and surprised at the plate.
In SEC play, he hit 337(8th in the league) and 313 in the regionals. His on base percentage in SEC play only was sixth in the league at 455.
And no, he hasn't adjusted to coming off the bench, but who else has? No body and that's something that has hurt us all year.

I do not dismiss what he did last year in the context of last year. You are correct. The facts are that he did well especially in the SEC. But watching his ABs this year has been cringeworthy. He seems to press in the "spot AB" roll. It hasn't been good. And I don't think that means we should be giving him more of those types of opportunities THIS YEAR.
