This is really weird. Forcing your kid to put on a garment traditionally worn by the opposite sex isn't something I would call abuse, but it does make me question the parents mental state. She is trying to make a statement, but it's really counter productive. It makes feminists look really bad. That being said, she is a parent and can do this if she wants to.

TLDR: Mom is an idiot, but I wouldn't call it abuse.
