I ended up going with Dish. Overall, satisfied with my purchase, but the HD picture quality is not great. Worse than what I've seen with Direct TV and cable.
Also, they gave me the Hopper with Sling. I don't even think I had the option of having the Hopper 3. How do I get one of those?

Did you call a local company to install or call dish direct? Local companies will try to push old equipment on you
If you just got it installed I would complain to get the hopper 3, and threaten to cancel if you are still in the first few weeks.
