Sounds like a loose cable. Did you check the battery terminals?

check the starter bendix/pinion gear and make sure the gear is disengaging from the flywheel when you turn the key off. The gear will sometimes stick in the up position.
It should look like this with the key off. If not then push it down and grease the starter shaft.
