The New Orleans Saints made two moves to trim the roster, according to Monday's NFL Transactions report.
The Saints waived defensive end D.J. Pettway with a non-football injury designation, while defensive back Jimmy Pruitt was waived with a failed physical designation.
Pettway and Pruitt were injured before the start of the 2016 regular season, and spent the year on injured reserve.
The Saints needed to clear roster space after signing 12 undrafted free agents in the days following the NFL Draft.
The Saints could make additional roster moves in the coming days.
