What are the distinguishing differences between ska and reggae?

Just watched one of those top 10 videos on YouTube. This one is on the top 10 ska bands. Their list included Bob Marley and the Wailers as the #6 best ska band. If Marley isn't reggae, what is? I think of ska as having a stronger use of horns, with quick reggae rhythm as the backdrop and heavy jazz influences

That's pretty much the main difference. Ska has more punk influences as well.
For example:

The Wailers were "ska" originally
Do you know who coined the term reggae? Toots Hibbert of Toots and the Maytals fame.
The old dance hall music was ska, very fast, funky horns. Reggae slowed it down with a heavier drum and baseline. Just my two cents....
