The Corp built the diversion canal and weir which prevents backwater from restocking the lake like it did in the '70's. However, there's still enough backwater during high water periods for a decent influx of fish. Average bass fishing but white perch can be great at times.

So, that being said, I was there when the canal was put in. Seen the stock laws change when I was but a whipper snapper. Moved away to work for the varmits who messed it all up. Now, Im back living next to it all and aiming to get back into the perch fishing. Seems I never had as good a handle on figuring them out and would like to get my hands on a real hand made map of it. Got one fine map of the Saline at Campti, just hoping there is one of our saline lake. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
