What is the fork going to do to ETH? I'm guessing we're gonna tank like a mofo on 8/1 but maybe come back strong.

Could tank hard with the looming eth fork. Or could spike with all the money fleeing btc and bcc to eth

A few pages back I said that if you can pick the one C-A- winner and the one -A-P winner, then you'll have the two winning protocols.

Nothing that I've seen has discussed it at all. Read about CAP theorem to see what I'm talking about with C, A, and P.

OK I have 300 in bitcoin (bought at 1700 and 2200) and 50 in LTc (bought at 36) should I invest in ETH or continue to pump money in the other two?

I got introduced into crypto 3 weeks ago. And based on what I read, I decided on LTC. I don't have a ton of money so I only bought 4 of them. I'm no expert, but based on Segwit and the lightning network, LTC seems like a safe bet.

Cool ill start reading. i see what you're getting at though and why there is room for two based on wiki page.
Basically you want to pick the next sql of cryptocurrencies....not even sure who the leader of nosql movement? Mongo maybe?

What's the best way to determine this info for a cryptocurrency?

BlockNet has big news this week. decentralized trading started a few days ago, with a new release and an article supposed to come out in a few days. Has been trending up, and still has room to go IMO

up from $6.28 to $10.22 when I posted this. Their big announcement is supposed to happen today

I'm pretty sure you'll look back on the next three months and brag the rest of your life how you got in at the start.

I imagine BTC will dip, shorts have to cover by buying back in and new high will be made. We'll see.

All the people that are buying into btc at an inflated price are going to be mad in the very near future

My deposit finally hit Kraken today and I think I'm gonna sit on the sidelines to watch this unfurl. I think BTC may take a nice hit and I'll maybe buy after. Yes, I'll miss the extra BCC but not sure buying BTC at $2,800 is the right play. ETH on the other hand I feel like I should buy but not sure when. You're on the sidelines for that too, right?

This will be sold off immediately by most. Is there any reason one would hold bcc?

It'll be like eth and etc... it will have value, but significantly less than the other

Maybe... there's a chance it could go up a few hundred. Crypto is so unpredictable. 460 would be a bigger move than I'd expect, but 300 either way wouldn't shock me a bit. The desire for bcc could be so low btc plows on like nothing happened. The bcc chain would be getting virtually no hash, so blocks would take a long time to solve until difficulty retargetting occurred. It could take a month or 2 for all this to shake out, but miners won't waste hashpower for long if it's not worth it.
