He knows someone told him he could license his image and make money. That's all he understands.

The SEC is taking a beating today in court, per reports.

quote:

SEC lawyer says a Senator’s opinion shouldn’t be able to overrule 90 years of securities law.

Failla then addresses the Howey Test:

“We’ve had a good run. We’ve had 90 years where these securities laws have been able to apply to these markets. But now we have something new.”

quote:

SEC— “the tokens themselves are not a security”

Failla— “that’s what the folks in the back table think (Coinbase). And they are wondering why we are here”

According to the SEC all county fair tickets are securities.

I was pondering why vegetable seeds are not securities.

You buy them with an expectation they will grow vegetables.

You can plant them yourself and get more seeds (staking). You can sell the vegetables or use them for your own purposes like you would a native token.

By the SECs definition, tractor supply is acting as an unregistered securities exchange.

You guys don’t drum up a lot of sympathy for the cause with analogies like this.

We aren’t the ones making the idiotic assertion a commodity is a security

If the analogy seems preposterous, it’s for a reason.

Last bull market some of the crypto mining stocks outperformed actual crypto.

Going to hold some RIOT, BITF, and MARA
Also going to start buying COIN

Blaming it on GBTC seems weird when there is more net inflows to the ETFs than there is outflows from GBTC.

I think the larger issue the last few weeks has been a combination of sell the news plus a frankly disappointing amount of net inflows.

Here is my shill on a meme token that seems to have huge potential. I don't have much $ in it bc it is cheap right now to get a big bag and most of my internet $ is in real projects that I like...still, this seems like it can run hard and long:

Here is a major Trump-themed crypto opportunity that it seems like this group might like. TRUMPTROLL. Donald is the Great-American Trollmaster. Both DONALD and TRUMP are very popular and high-visibility meme tokens right now. The time has come to combine the power of these names with Trump's amazing ability to generate top-shelf troll content. Trump trolls someone? We can market it. We can also tap into classic Trump Trolls which are endless. The meme magic can't be stopped. Can get in for a nice bag at a LOW price right here and ride it through the election and Donald's second term...bullish! $75K MC but ready to explode upward. Be early!

#TrumpTroll is strong and about to SEND! $66K MC and built to reach millions. This can run through the whole election cycle with the Great American Troll himself leading the way! Such little cost and risk at this price point for a NICE bag...HUGE reward potential. Don't be like Sleepy Joe, Make ETH Memes Great Again and join us in the TG!

Sell the news dip was expected, the GBTC dump is just compounding the dump

I'm so balls deep in btc miners right now. They are essentially a leveraged btc play. Goes up twice as hard and down twice as hard. Fun times for 2024-2025 ahead imo

Been trading mining stocks for many years. Nothing can touch them during bitcoin's bull runs. Here are the ones I'm buying/holding now. CIFR, CLSK, HIVE, HUT, RIOT, WULF, MARA, MGTI, BITF. One guy on YT I like to follow did an in-depth video on all the miners about a month or so ago. Link below.

Again, irrelevant to the dip. There is more money buying BTC in new ETFs than there is selling it from GBTC.

The problem is the ETF adoption has been abysmal.

Very relevant to the dip directly and indirectly.

Market dumping billions in BTC vs buying billions in BTC is small increments over weeks period does not have the same result.

Even indirectly, how many people are selling / holding off on buying / shorting because of Grayscale dumping?

When the threat of Grayscale dumping more GBTC is over things will take off, as well as that selling pressure being gone
