I’ve always wondered about catching crappie in the 51 canals. Has anyone ever targeted them or just catch a random few fishing for bass?

Decent population of sac-a-lair. Tend to hang deeper on lay downs, grass beds and pilings. Really need to use shiners rather than artificial.

Two of the biggest sacalait I ever caught were back to back on the same stump in Ruddock. Both measured 16 1/2” and over 2lbs spawned out. They were also the only two I caught that day
