Watching these nfl Newtork guys know exactly how much if a disaster these stupid live pick announcements are is one of the highlights of the draft.

The seething anger coming out of Mayock and co. Is fantastic.

What's dumb is they are announcing picks that are 10 picks behind the ticker at the bottom

They succeed every year with the first round.

Then it derails every year with these guest pickers and becomes this long drawn out miserable process for the next two days.

We don't need guests to announce a pick. These CTE riddled brains don't need to be drug out there to have a live reading test.

I always thought it would be cool for the GMs of each team would read the first round picks and make Goodell read all the rest.

Watching Brian Dawkins and Brian Westbrook try to match what Pearson did yesterday was absolutely laughable

Occasionally they are good (Pearson, Faulk last year), but mostly they are awful.

In 1980, Chet Simmons, president of the year-old ESPN, asked Pete Rozelle if the fledgling network could broadcast coverage of the draft live on ESPN. Although Rozelle did not believe it would be entertaining television, he agreed.

Is there anything ESPN hasn't corrupted with their dirty paws?

Can you imagine if March Madness had a two-day selection show?

And guests speakers and alums would come up every 15 minutes and announce..."With the #13 seed...a team that's about to kick arse, and shock the world! Winthrop!"
