I'm typically a NOLA defender, but this is such BS

It's not that inaccurate. My zip code, within the city limits, has between 17-18,000 people, and zero murders in 2016 and 2017.

I'm in Orleans Parish at least 6 days a week, nights to. I often work until 10, 11 pm at night and walk to my car.

Never, ever, have I felt unsafe.

In fact, there has only been two times in my life where I felt unsafe. Both of them were at gas stations at night near Hobby Airport.

As many have said, the money and opportunity are higher in Texas. No one is doubting that. But I don't see the need for people to crap all over NOLA with made up / exaggerated things, while the people doing said crapping are doing so from hundreds of miles away.

This isn't the OT... we are supposed to be better on this board.

If you want more money money, go to Dallas. If you will take less money but you want to be closer to family (assuming your family lives near NOLA) stay here. You can have a very nice life here.
