I moved to the DFW area after graduating with my masters. Got a job offer at a firm in Plano right away and it is just amazing how much that area is growing. I live in Frisco and drive less than ten minutes to work and the area has everything you could possibly desire within 15 minutes of you. The amount of development in that area is nuts with about 20 mid and high rises going up and large developments such as Toyota's new North American headquarters nearing completion. Job opportunities abound, but this growth has come with inflating house prices that have doubled over the past ten years. In my field, businesses are desperate to find qualified employees and that is causing wages to increase. Plano has been voted one of the best places to live in the US and I would agree, so take a look at that area.
